Happy New Year to all readers. I would like to first take the opportunity to thank the leadership and vision of Martin VanTrieste, the first Chair of Rx-360. Martin has influenced a whole industry to think and work more collaboratively for the benefit of patients. As the incoming Chair, I certainly have a “tough act to follow,” but Martin is retained on the Rx-360 Board and will continue to be a key advocate for the organisation. I would also like to thank Al Kentrup from Sandoz for agreeing to serve as the new Vice Chair of the organisation.
2011 will be an exciting year for the organisation. We are already running the pilot programme to share existing audit reports which members are willing to share. These reports will be made available to the members of Rx-360, via the secure database, as long as the auditee has given their approval for other companies to receive a redacted report. On 27th January an orientation session was held for the audit companies selected to perform the pilot audits for us. The audits have been split into three groups, North America, Asia Pacific and Europe, with separate audit companies performing the audits in
