Message from the Chairman: Minimize

Martin VanTrieste

Amgen
VP Quality

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the numerous volunteers working so hard and diligently to move Rx-360 from a vision to a reality. Without these volunteers, Rx-360 would have not been able to advance as fast as we have.  Just think, approximately one year ago, during the winter of 2009, five pharmaceutical quality professionals held a teleconference to launch Rx-360 to respond to one of the most significant crises the industry has ever faced.  Since that first teleconference, Rx-360 has made great progress.

Rx-360 is designed to be inclusive, including branded and generic manufacturers, large and small companies, suppliers, vendors and professional organizations.  Rx-360 is open to new members and encourages interested parties to learn more about the consortium’s efforts and membership.

Rx-360 plans to 1) develop voluntary standards and best practices to promote supply chain integrity; 2) encourage further development of new technologies for securing the supply chain; 3) Monitor and share information on relevant global legislation, regulation and suspicious events around the world; and 4) share appropriate information about supplier audits and conduct joint audits.

Rx-360’s web site is a resource for quality professionals, supply chain professionals and others. The website disseminates educational materials, as well as provides information and recommendations to help the community safeguard the integrity of the supply chain.

In addition, Rx-360 utilizes E-Mail Flash Reports, Linkedin and Twitter to disseminate information.
