Message from Chair Minimize

As 2011 closed, and 2012 begins, it is time to reflect on our achievements over the past year and look ahead to what the future holds.

The Audit Sharing and Joint Audit programmes completed their pilot phases and both are now operational.  These are successful and companies external to Rx-360 have purchased copies of some of the joint audits in the database.

A new working group, “Supply Chain Security Working Group,” has been set-up and is jointly led by Tim Valco, Amgen, and Brian Johnson, Pfizer.  See the article in this newsletter which explains the work of the group.

We also have a new group with the responsibility of encouraging more companies to become members of Rx-360.  This Membership Group is led by Scott Watson of AMPAC.

In 2012 we expect to have our first Rx-360 open meeting in Japan, which will help with our outreach in the region and help us meet our goals for expanding the organization. The various audit working groups will transition into an Audit Operations Group, as the pilot programmes move into established processes. We are also volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity project in New Orleans on 14th February, which is an exciting way to share the work of Rx-360 with potential members.

We continue to disseminate news flashes and summaries of regulatory guidance about supply chain security matters in a concise and accurate manner and at an amazing speed.  This all provides tremendous value to members of Rx-360.
However, none of this would be possible without the tremendous work from the volunteers in the working groups and the secretariat from DBR. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their contributions in 2011, and I look forward to working with you all in 2012
