This paper describes risk factors and risk mitigation strategies to prevent cargo theft by providing guidance on how to develop a comprehensive conveyance security program. The paper was developed by Rx-360 member company conveyance security experts and risk management analysts, who worked collaboratively over several months to identify and synthesize key information on risk factors and mitigation strategies, as well as considerations for conveyance risk assessment in regions around the world.

The Rx360 Supply Chain Security Working Group hosted a free webinar on the recently released white paper Supply Chain Security Management Systems: A Comprehensive Supply Chain Security Management System. The white paper was developed by a small team within Rx-360 that is focusing on developing and sharing operating practices that address product integrity threats to the supply chain. Key messages from the webinar included:
- the threats to the supply chain are complex and growing, protecting patients is fundamental to our business,
- a comprehensive and holistic approach of prevention, detection and response is required,
- collaboration across the industry will be critical to our success in managing these threats.
The webinar had over 220 participants across the biopharmaceutical industry and included a diverse mix of global manufacturers, regulators, suppliers, and other supply chain stakeholders. Feedback from participants during the Q&A session was positive and highlighted the value of sharing these important concepts.
